Children’s Summer Reading Program 2019
Each child will receive a book bag. Inside is a sheet to write down the titles of the books read, and a bookmark.
Each child needs to sign the sign up sheet for his or her appropriate age:
Read-to-Me: Babies through children entering kindergarten, ( or any children who are not able to read)
should have 20 books read to them.
Elementary: Children entering 1st through 6th grades should read 20 books (or 10 books, each 150 or more pages).
Teens: Teens entering 7th through 12th graders should read 10 books each book 150 pages or more.
When a child has read the required number of books, he or she will receive a prize, a certificate, and his or her name will be put in a drawing for a bicycle. A child may read another 20 books for an additional prize. Each name will only be entered once for the bicycle drawing. Each teen completing the program will have his/her name entered into a drawing for a gift card.
Books read for the Summer Reading Program must be checked out from the Norton Public Library. However, books read on an e-reader (from Sunflower and Hoopla Digital,etc.) are acceptable.
The children have from May 23th – August 8th to read the required number of books.
Prize drawings will take place on Monday, August 12th. Prizes will be picked up and pictures taken on Thursday, August 15th.

Adults 18 years old-100 years old 🙂
Read 10 books, at least 250 pages or
2 books less than 250 pages will count as 1 book
Each adult reading the required number of books will receive a prize and will have his/her name entered in a drawing for Chamber Bucks.
Books read for the Summer Reading Program must be checked out from the Norton Public Library. However, books read on an e-reader from Sunflower or Hoopla are acceptable.
Prize drawings will take place on Monday, August 12th. Prizes will be picked up and pictures taken on Thursday August 15th.
